5 Top things to stay stocked with


1) Apple cider vinegar
For all over heath, Apple cider takes the cake, but it can also be used for a number of things other than health. First let's go over some things that ACV can be used medicinally as.

ACV will-
 stabilize blood sugar,
Reduce swelling caused by diabetes, or due to injury.
Skin irritations (bug bites, sunburns)
weight loss
stabilize blood pressure
Disinfecting
sinus infections
arthritis
Heart health
hair conditioner
repelling fleas off pets

This is only a few of the benefits of stocking ACV. Using this for everyday health, mix a tablespoon per glass of water morning, noon and night.
When using on hair, mix equal parts with water, shake, and pour through hair.
When using to disinfect, mix half a cup  per gallon of water.


2) 100% local raw Honey.

Honey is a powerful antibiotic. You can use honey to help with cold, flu, allergies, sinuses, sore throats, burns, cuts, scrapes, bee stings.. The power of honey is an endless mystery. It can be used to clot blood, for examples a cut. a good smear of raw honey over a cut will make it quit bleeding. a thin layer over a burn will make it quit stinging. In my house, honey is taken every time someone is feeling a bit under the weather. The cold which usually last anywhere from 5 to 6 days, gets cut in half because of the use of honey.
Local honey is your best bet. Not only are you helping a bee farmer out, but local bees very likely have pollinated some of the same plants you are allergic to, and eating their honey will help stamp out a bad allergy season. Find them at your farmers market..

**DO NOT FEED HONEY TO CHILDREN UNDER 2- IT MAY BE USED ON THEIR SKIN, BUT NOT ORALLY INGESTED!**

3) Cinnamon

You can use cinnamon in combination with both ACV and  honey. I don't take honey without cinnamon. Taking honey and cinnamon cures up a sore throat in 24 hours.
The benefits of cinnamon include
-antibacterial
 anti fungal
 colds,
flu
helps replenish glucose levels in type 2 diabetes
 weight loss
 It will improve colon health
 fight against heart disease
cure nausea
promote energy
and cure indigestion..

If you have a green thumb why not try growing the Cassia Cinnamon plant. You can use both bark and flower of the plant for medicine.

4) Baking soda

Baking soda is one of the most useful things to keep stocked up in your house. Baking soda has not only a long list of health benefits but can be used in a number of different ways. You can use it as shampoo, with ACV, or clean your house. Refresh carpets, laundry, the fridge. The list goes on. Let's list some of the health benefits..
Baking soda helps produce more oxygen into the bloodstream.

Use baking soda to help fight cancer. It is especially Good to take for breast cancer patients.
Take 2 rounded tablespoons to 2 cups of water. Add a little sugar, it is quite salty. Use this 3 times a day.

Heartburn and indigestion- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda to a half cup water, drink an hour after meals.

Use it for your skin. 1/2 CUP of baking soda to bath water will help soothe psoriasis. Mix a little water into baking soda to make a paste and use to treat sunburn, bug bites, Poison oak and ivy and rashes.

Use daily for positive health benefits.
1 teaspoon per glass of water

It can be used for-
Kidney stones
Gout
Urinary tract infections

Cold and flu- It works well during a cold to help relieve the stuffiness.
It can reduce the duration of sickness to 36 hours.

Use for cold and flu-
Day 1- 1 teaspoon per glass of water 6 times a day at 2 hour intervals.
Day 2-  4 times a day at 2 hour intervals
Day 3- Once in the morning, once at night. You can do this everyday until symptoms are completly gone.

Baking soda will not raise blood pressure. It will however retain water, so If you are pregnant, you may want to stay away from baking soda regimes.

You can also use baking soda-
Sprinkle it on freshly caught fish to keep it from spoiling.
Mouthwash (1 tablespoon to half a cup water)
toothpaste (check the Cheap and easy DIY section of this blog for a homemade recipe)
Facial scrub (Cheap and easy DIY)
deodorant (Cheap and easy DIY)
washing pans and dishes (add 2 heaping tablespoons to dishwater, it helps to kill germs and lift grease and hard to get off nasties)
Clean your appliances.
Put it in with the laundry (1/2 cup to the washer)
Putting out a fire
Clean fruits and veggies.
